1 Day Fourteen Falls Day Trip from Nairobi
At Fourteen Falls near Thika, the Athi River drops about 27 metres over a wide rock face that splits the water into a row of separate cascades, which gives the falls their name. They are at their loudest after the rains and much thinner in dry spells.
Local boatmen can take you towards the base of the falls, and the surrounding area is good for walking and birdwatching, with Ol Donyo Sabuk rising behind. It is about an hour and a half from Nairobi and one of the easiest affordable day trips from the city. Entrance fees, transfers, drinking water and a guide are included. See more Nairobi day trips.
