6 Days Tanzania Safari Serengeti Ngorongoro

Pick-up from your Arusha hotel or Kilimanjaro Airport. After a short briefing, drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its towering baobab trees and large elephant herds. Enjoy a game drive where you’ll spot zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and predators lurking nearby. The park is also a birdwatcher’s paradise with over 500 species. Expect to see elephants gathering at the Tarangire River, especially during the dry season. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Sopa Lodge.

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a small but diverse gem nestled at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment. The park is known for its tree-climbing lions, hippos wallowing in the lake, and flocks of flamingos painting the shoreline pinkish in color. Other animals include the forests with baboons, monkeys, and hornbills, plus open plains with giraffes and buffalo. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Safari Lodge.

Drive through the Ngorongoro highlands into the legendary and famous Serengeti National Park. Along the way, enjoy unique geographical views and cultural encounters with the Maasai people which dominates the area. Arrive in Serengeti for an afternoon game drive across the endless plains of the park. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Wildebeest Camp.

Morning breakfast, enjoy a full day exploring Serengeti. With a packed lunch, you’ll cover different regions depending on the season:

• Northern Serengeti: Witness the Great Migration and dramatic Mara River crossings (July–October).
• Central Serengeti (Seronera): Year-round predator action with lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
• Ndutu Area (Southern Serengeti): Calving season (December–March), when thousands of wildebeest give birth.

Expect hundreds of wildlife encounters and breathtaking geographical views. Dinner and overnight at Wildebeest Camp.

After breakfast, head towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive at the crater rim in the afternoon and enjoy crater views from your camp/Lodge. The drive offers chances to spot Maasai villages and wildlife along the way. Dinner and overnight at Hhando Coffee Lodge.

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife sanctuaries. The crater floor is home to dense populations of animals including black rhinos, hippos, lions, and flamingos. Explore the park for 4-5 hours and drive back to Arusha for drop-off at your hotel or airport.
